Troll Assault! Presented By Teksavvy!

http://torrentfreak.com/canadian-isp-prepares-for-unprecedented-bittorrent-troll-assault-121211/

Downloading information and applications that you must pay for online is ILLEGAL. Recently  in the U.S, Internet providers have enforced stopping these activities by looking at the history of their clients and suing them for alleged copyright infringements. If you are one of these people that download illegally, brace yourselves because Canada's Internet provider Teksavvy is doing the same. Many people download and watch movies, films and do other illegal activities online but most people think that it is fine as a result of continuing these actions for a long time. So you may be wondering who is behind all of these actions, it is none other than the government, they have been hearing thousands of complaints from the companies that are being impacted by these actions. The most impacted businesses are the music and film industries, many people download their songs and movies for free as opposed to buying them.

International Business relates to this because money is an important source for businesses to continue. With downloading for free huge companies such as Paramount and Disney have lost so much profit that could help them become better. It is a shame that most people do this thing all the time but come on, who hasn't downloaded or watched something online illegally even for once? In your opinion is keeping track of our history a good or bad thing?

  1. THIS should get interesting...

I definitely agree with copyrights and some may consider not compensating someone for their work/creative intelligence stealing. On the other hand, some music artists for example have probably benefited much more from the open flow of their music distribution (ie. getting more fans and filling their concert seats with more fans and higher ticket prices!)

Though we always hear these sorts of stories out of the US...wonder if the crackdown will officially hit us at some point in the near future.

    Interesting post.

  2. Great post Adiel!

In my opinion I think keeping track of our history is a Bad this. Wouldn't that be considered infringing upon our rights and privacy? I definitely agree with that downloading music illegally is wrong but if we think about it, how many rising artists or already famous artists got their music out through releasing their music online to download for free? If Canada and the US were to really crack down hard on downloading music and movies illegally then many future talents that could possibly change the face of entertainment may not be discovered. I guess there's pros and cons to every situation, but this is just my opinion.

  3. WOAH, this is DEF. a bad news for guys like me who love to download movies and music online :O Personally, The Pirate Bay had been my best source to get all the latest movies in good quality and also download albums by artists. I guess I have been hearing about the piracy issues and everything since childhood but have never heard about anyone that I am close with getting booked for doing this so I am not that scared? I am just gonna keep doing what I do and hope for the best (yn) You think I am really gonna pay money for my music? If I had to pay for all the movies and music that I have downloaded, then that amount would prolly be over 100 thousand :P #BrownMan #Cheap
